Milan

Milan is Italy's electric fashion and design capital, a city where cutting-edge creativity meets Renaissance grandeur. The Duomo soars above bustling piazzas, while sleek galleries and concept stores line the streets of the Quadrilateral of Fashion. It's a place that moves fast, thinks big, and refuses to be confined by tradition — yet centuries of art and architecture anchor every corner. You'll feel the energy immediately: the purposeful stride of locals, the hum of innovation, the sense that something important is always about to happen. Worth it for the Duomo alone — that impossible marble cathedral — but also for the restaurants (some of the best in Italy), the design museums, the chance to catch world-class opera at La Scala, and simply to wander neighborhoods like Navigli, where old canals and ivy-covered townhouses reveal a softer, more intimate side of the city. Milan moves, but it also rewards you for slowing down.
